- 1/2 cup water warm
- 2 packages dry yeast
- 1 1/2 cup Milk lukewarm
- 1 stick Butter melted
- 1 stick Butter melted (separate from the other)
- 2 tsp Salt
- 3/4 cup Sugar
- 1 1/2 cup Sugar (separate from the other)
- 2 tbsp cardamom freshly course ground
- 2 Eggs beaten
- 6-7 cups Flour enough to make soft sticky dough
To make ahead, you can wrap the loaves in wax paper then in foil and freeze them until Christmas Eve.
