If you’ve been to Hart’s, you’ve no doubt run into Sallie, one of our cashiers in the front end. Sallie has the kind of warm and friendly personality that will put a smile on your face. No matter what.
“I was so excited to hear that Hart’s was opening. Someone gave me an advertisement about the job fairs in May, and I was here at 7:30 that morning. The job fair didn’t even start until 10,” Sallie laughed.
When she’s not at Hart’s, Sallie spends most of her time taking care of her two kids, Shermein, 8, and Sie’asia, 5.
“I also love to cook,” Sallie told us. “Roasts, chicken, pork shoulders, ribs, salads. I just love to cook!” And like all the best cooks we know, Sallie learned to cook from her mom.
When asked what she likes most about Hart’s, Sallie immediately beamed about the atmosphere. “I enjoy the different interactions we have with customers and with each other as employees,” Sallie said. “I have a good experience with just about all of my customers.”
“Since I started working at Hart’s, I’ve been under construction, just as Hart’s has. I’m so glad to be able to share that experience with customers that come through my line.”
“Are you still under construction?” we asked. “I sure am. As long as Hart’s is still under construction, undergoing changes in the aisles and offerings, I’m also under construction.”
“There is always room for growth. We learn something new every day.”
