January classes in the Hart’s Butcher Shop

Well, that was fast! All of our January classes have sold out. Keep an eye on our website for upcoming classes in February.

Looking for a last minute gift idea? Send your loved ones to a class in the Hart’s butcher shop! Due to popular demand, we’re adding five new classes for the month of January, and many more to come.

Purchasing any of these classes as a gift? We can send a personalized card to give as a gift! We’ll either mail it to you, or directly to the recipient (just double check the shipping address).

Pork Butchery Classes

Learn how to break down a side of pork at home. Our butcher will teach you all of the techniques, and you’ll go home with 5-6 lbs of pork product.

$60 per person. Classes are limited to 10 people each. All tools and supplies provided.


Sausage Making Classes

Back by popular demand! Learn everything you need to know to make your own sausages at home. Techniques covered include mixing and grinding, types of casings, safe handling measures, and tips for cooking. Plus you’ll go home with 3 lbs of sausage (that you made!)

$25 per person. Classes are limited to 10 people each. All tools and supplies provided.

  • Love your grocery store. How about charging 30 dollars a person for a vegan class on how to make seitan? How to eat foods that are free from animal products? I would pay and I know a lot of other people who would including those who are interested in plant based eating. If it’s about money, we’ll pay. If it’s about health, the environment, or an animal’s right to life and right not to suffer which is the direction the world is heading in gosh I hope so for the animal’s and humanity’s sake – let’s make some vegan classes 🙂
