Construction Update From Winthrop Street

Hey, Rochester! You’ve been waiting patiently. (And so have we!) The truth is, we’re just days away from announcing our Grand Opening. In the meantime, let’s step back a few months . . .

Taking over a former auto shop is pretty ideal when building a grocery store. The wide, open spaces didn’t leave very much heavy lifting to do. Just a whole lot of little things. But a few months later, here we are . . .


Let’s start at The Hart’s Kitchen. Because let’s face it, the kitchen is always the most important place. Anywhere.

As of today, most of our equipment is in place. Refrigerators ready to chill. Stoves ready to fire up. We hope by next week to begin sampling recipes for our prepared foods bar and Sandwich Shop. Yum!


New York has been called the Yogurt Capital of the country. It’s easy to see why, with the abundance of dairy farms across Upstate New York. Here you’ll find the freshest eggs and best milks in New York State.



We have 20,000 square feet to fill with national favorites, plus a wide variety of local products you may not have even heard of! If you’re like us, you’ll want to try one of everything!
